Trip in France and Italy
Even though Europe is filled with amazing tourist destinations, Italy and France seem to stand both above the others, with France being the most visited country in the world and Italy having the most UNESCO World Heritage sites. These beautiful countries are waiting for you!
Let’s start Your jouney in the sun-splashed coasts of the French Riviera, which attract tourists like flies to honey. Nice, also known as “Queen of the Riviera” is the largest city on the Côte d’Azur. You will be taken to see one of the most beautiful lookout of the city and take in the wonderful views of Angel and Villefranche bays. Drive along the famous boulevard, the Promenade des Anglais, before to reach the picturesque hilltop town of St. Paul de Vence, which is probably the most well known of the Côte d’Azur hill villages owing to its association with some of the world’s greatest artists. From a bastion above the ramparts You will enjoy spectacular view of the Maritime Alps and the Esterel mountains to the west of Cannes. Within the village walls You will find a multitude of art galleries, shops with regional crafts and charming homes on side streets with beautiful flowers abound.
A day trip from Eze allows You to explore the seaside resort of Cagnes-sur-Mer, and the old village perched on the hill behind, called Haut-de-Cagnes, standing as it does in the location of an earlier medieval settlement occupied in turn by both the greeks and the Romans. It is dominated by the Château Musée Grimaldi, which includes the olive museum and a jewellery museum. Then the route continues to the busy town of Antibes, whose main feature is a splendid old harbour with boats of every size and ‘yachties’ from all over the world. The old town is well worth exploring. You may go for a stroll along Juan-Les-Pins coastline, extending between Antibes and Cannes. Stop in Grasse, which has been a perfume town ever since the 17th century, and today as the world’s perfume capital, its reputation speaks for itself.
The journey leads You towards Italy, passing through Milan, one of the world’s fashion capital and home to the Italian style. Take a leisurely walking tour of this cosmopolitan city, famous for its magnificent Gothic Duomo and celebrated La Scala Theatre opera house. Before heading towards Florence stop for shopping in one of the best known outlets of Italy, THE MALL. It is a luxury centre created to offer customers products of excellence at extremely advantageous prices. You will explore the creative heart of the Renaissance in Florence and its “symbols”, such us: the Duomo with Brunelleschi’s Cathedral Dome, Ponte Vecchio with its renowned jewelers’ shops and Piazza della Signoria, that holds an open-air gallery of Renaissance statues. Enjoy Your stay at Castello del Nero, a luxury hotel nestled among the sloping hills of the Chianti wine region. This Tuscan retreat in a converted 12th-century castle is perfectly placed for visits to San Gimignano, a walled town located on a hilltop, renowned for its fascinating medieval architecture and tall towers, and Siena, where a trip is worth making to visit its spectacular Cathedral of the 12th century and its central piazza “Il Campo”, known worldwide for the famous Palio run here.
